A birthday, some worship time, teachers over! Wow what a week!

And the walls came a tumbling down!  A couple of weeks ago the mayor sent some of his workers to a road that is close by our house.  They measure the road and noticed that it was too narrow, so narrow that even one car had trouble travelling on it.  They marked the walls with some red paint: this paint said "Move wall back 3 meters, you have 8 days."    Eight days came and went and not a single wall was moved back, in fact one of the walls that had to move back also had to move a house back 3 meters.  Two Sundays ago we were sitting down reading some books and the electricity all of a sudden cut out.  We went outside because we heard a big machine.  We then watched a front end loader take down a lot of the walls down the street.  They stopped before they got to the house.  I guess the house has a bit of time before it will be taken down as well.

Chloe's new dress from Daphka Peters.  She loves it, thanks Daphka!

A cake all the way from Canada for Mindy's birthday!

Chloe's teacher, Mrs. Ackerman and her husband, along with Mr. Chabot
came over for dinner a couple of nights ago.

Things have been happening at Adoration!

Over the past couple of weeks many different and exciting events have been happening at Adoration Centre. I will try my best to cover all of them in one big blog.

One of our teachers invited went to a local hospital and invited some nurses to our school to do some medical tests on our students. Each student received a little prick on one of their fingers and the blood was tested for different illnesses. Randy and I showed the students how painful the procedure was going to be.

We recently had a Bible challenge with all the grades. Each grade was given 5 questions to answer about different Bible stories. It was very loud because each class was excited when another class got a correct answer. However it was even more exciting to see the smiles on the faces when the students answered the questions correctly.

A bunch of toys and puzzles were donated from various people in Hamilton, Ontario. The Special Needs Director and the Kindergarten Director spent some time sorting out the toys and sharing them amongst those grades.

Classtrips have been going on for the classes here at Adoration Christian Centre. The Grade 4s went to Double Harest, an organization that has developed a farming community. It has numerous vegatables, chickens and fishes growing on it. The Grade 5 and 6s went downtown to the National Museum, where they learned about the history of their country. The Grades 7 and 8s went to Fort Jacques and the Baptist Mission where they visited a museum and an old fort. The Grades 2 and 3s will be going to the Sugar Cane Museum soon while the Kindergartens, the Special Needs class and the Grade are going to go to a playground.
