We've Arrived!

Chloe and mommy arrived in Hamilton to 3 degree weather. The first thing Chloe said when she woke up in the morning was: "It's cold, it's cold, it's cold." She enjoyed playing with all Grandma's "new"toys, and her cousins during the day. She told me a few things that were different in Canada than in Haiti:  you can drink the water out of the tap, the roads are smooth, the trees here don't have leaves on them now, and there are Tim Hortons here!  Cornelius' parents surprised us with a visit this evening and we got to go out for supper with them, my parents and 2 of Cornelius' sisters in Hamilton. Chloe was very excited to see snow this evening, and hopes to make a snowman tomorrow :) We miss you lots daddy!

They are off!

At 9:23 the plane left the ground and now I am alone for next five weeks and one day.  I will miss you lots Mindy and Chloe and can't wait to see you the LORD willing soon.  Safe travels!

Today we spent the day at the beach.  The last Saturday together before Mindy and Chloe fly to Canada.  It was a beautiful, the pictures tell enough!

Chloe misses Tori and Kati!

This is a big thank you for the impression that you, Tori Schreur had on Chloe our daughter.  We thank you for the time you took to get to know her.  Thank you for doing her hair on Saturday morning on the way to the beach and thank for the time you spent with her at the beach.  She enjoyed playing frisbee with you and wants you to come back and visit sometime soon.

And yes Kati Wiersema, our daughter misses you as well.  She enjoys your company and enjoys the time you hang around with her.  Thank you for the time that you spend with her as well.  We hope you come back soon but at the same time we hope you are enjoying your time in the DR.  See you soon!  Thank you especially for the days that you take Chloe so that Mindy can get some much needed rest.  Thank you for all that you do for our family.

Our new house!

On February 8th we moved into a new house just around the corner from our old house.  We were house sitting for a family that was on furlough for 6 months.  This house opened up for us on the day that we needed to be out of our old house.  Here are some pictures of our house for the next month and half.
